About the logo
Our striking logo was selected from many entries in the McBride Community Forest logo competition. This winning design was created by local artist Sheilagh Foster who explains the various elements of the design.
Trees: representing the forest
Beaver Mountain silhouette: this is the mountain that McBride and community residents associate with most often...the view from "everyone's" home
Fraser River: winding its lazy way through the Robson Valley, the watershed of our forest and our community
Train: the icon of McBride and the reason the town is here. You can see it on our welcome sign hanging over Main Street and on the street signs
Salmon: the symbol of a healthy eco-system supported by an integrated forest management policy. Essential to the health and survival of our community and the sustainability of our economy and natural resources
